I was commissioned to create the logo design for a new marketing, PR and project management company. Then later on she wanted a set of business cards with multiple front designs using textural backgrounds that were all different but still felt consistent.

Concept

She wanted the logo design that reflected my abstract, organic and textural illustrative style but that would seem contemporary and sleek. Her idea was for it to reflect a compass, as she ‘guide’s her clients in the right direction’ and she liked the idea of it being able to work over or include watercolour elements. She wanted the business cards reflect the teal and blue tones from her website so I edited all of the imagery to the same colour range. I then also designed a minimalistic back to contrast the business of the front, but using the same colours to maintain consistency.

Outcome

She settled on two logo designs, with the same idea but slightly different typefaces as she felt one would work better on her instagram and the other on her website. Six designs were chosen for the business cards, all with different imagery but the same blue tone throughout.
