This project brief was very open to interpretation. I decided to take it down the route of identity and my love for travel. I created a series of collages made of photographs of places I have travelled to.

Concept
I decided to design a series of collages to evoke the mood and atmosphere of the place, rather than a literal representation. I used a variety of techniques, including a host of collage styles and screenprinting. I used both digital and manual processes, changing between the two, in order to fully distort the image, whilst maintaining the identity of the location.

Outcome
I created a total of 5 collages of New York, London, the Alps, Sicily and Geneva. I like to think of them as visual memories. A glimpse of the colours, sounds, and subtle things that make each place unique.
